Before founding Exit Success Lab with Nicola Gelormino, Dave Lorenzo was an independent consultant and business coach for 15 years. Lorenzo refers to himself as a coach in the same way that a sports coach works with athletes. He shares specific techniques and then holds the client accountable for implementation and improvement in performance.

During this period, Lorenzo had three separate firms. Rainmaker Lawyer Consulting was a coaching company for attorneys; Valtimax Consulting focused on Lorenzo’s work with entrepreneurs, and Dave Lorenzo and Company International was a business that licensed client acquisition training programs to other firms.

Dave Lorenzo was a partner with The Gallup Organization’s consulting group from 2002 to 2008. During this time, he was named Partner of The Year in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Lorenzo’s clients included dozens of FORTUNE 500 companies and several multi-national non-governmental organizations.

Career with ExecuStay, Marriott International and Concord Hospitality

Dave Lorenzo worked for Marriott International during two different times in his career. From 1999 to 2002, Lorenzo started and led the ExecuStay brand. Under his tenure, ExecuStay dominated corporate housing in New York City.

Lorenzo was named one of the “40 Under 40 Executives to Watch” by Crains New York.

From 1995 to 1999 Lorenzo was a General Manager for Concord Hospitality, one of the top Franchise Partners for Marriott International. During this time he opened three new hotels and converted one distressed property into a Marriott branded hotel.

Prior to joining Concord Hospitality, Lorenzo worked for Marriott in several different roles from 1989-1995.

The 60 Second Sale: The Ultimate System for Building Lifelong Client Relationships in the Blink of an Eye was published by Wiley in 2018 won an Axiom book Award, and was a finalist for an International book award.

Client Attraction Secrets for Lawyers was published by James Publishing in 2012. This soft-cover classic is a field manual for attorneys looking to grow their book of business.
